So I’ve been trying to think of a good way to add storage to the entranceway of the house that can double as a mail center/drop stuff area for my roommates and I. The kicker is that I pretty much have a max of 12 inches to work with, due to the door.
After browsing for console tables, bookcases, and all sorts of things, I think I’ve hit upon a solution! This Billy shelf from Ikea. It’s 11 inches wide, and I’ll hang it low, so the top can double as a drop zone. I’ll probably hang it high enough that I could fit a Billy bookcase under it in the future, if I feel like I need more shelves (at this point I don’t think I do). For now, there will be room underneath to stash rain boots and things. Pretty psyched about this :)
