I just got insanely happy because of this. (via elizabethanne)
I really hope it will turn out not to be a disappointment.

Woo! I do kind of like the new orange shaped cap though… :)
NY Times Article
I’ll be honest, I liked the rebranding/repackaging. It seemed more grown up.
Weird. I also liked the new packaging. It looked fresh, clean and more current.
My life is currently boring, but will hopefully be fulfilling. For example:
Today I will probably grab a chai from starbucks, make a valiant attempt at cleaning my room, eat dinner with the best friend and her fiance, and probably wind up watching a red box movie. Maybe throw in another chai from starbucks.
Not exactly thrilling, but should be good for the soul.
Good times.

My beautiful, healthy, love-of-my-life pupster, Buca, started having seizures this morning, scaring the beelzebub out of both her dog sitter and me.
She has since stopped seizing and seems back to normal (read: NUTS) but I’m sitting at the vet with her right now anyway.
She probably did it on purpose because she was pissed that I left her for the day (she’s in for a...
You told me to be a go-getter; well I went and got!
– Pat, while coming up with various replies for when one is asked why they did something (as in the situations where it’s “better to ask for forgiveness than for permission”).

The Amish have the undeserved reputation of being luddites, of people who refuse to employ new technology. It’s well known the strictest of them don’t use electricity, or automobiles, but rather farm with manual tools and ride in a horse and buggy. In any debate about the merits of embracing new technology, the Amish stand out as offering an honorable alternative of refusal. Yet Amish...

I took a brief, impromtu survey of my friends and loved ones and found that, regarding gas pumps:
1 - Every single male shakes the nozzle vigorously before returning it to its station.
2 - Every single female does not.
This led me to the conclusion that (not surprisingly) pumping gas for men is not wholly unlike peeing.
I shake it! Then...

Remember when Sudafed switched to phenylephrine because its old active ingredient, pseudoephedrine, was frequently being used to make meth?
The new version doesn’t work as a decongestant. At all. I can confirm this now.
Nope. I don’t care if I have to sign a log at the prescription counter — I spring for the real stuff; lovely, lovely pseudoephedrine. Ahhh. Mucinex with...
Currently 56 degrees here in EC, Maryland. WTF, mother nature. I stepped outside and it was HOT (to be fair, we get morning sun on this side of the house).
I guess there was a reason I woke up wanting to wear a dress today, but seriously, this is NUTS.
I wouldn’t get too comfy, though, warm weather this early in February… Mother Nature is probably lulling us into a false sense...
Things that I wish were more commonplace, and that I wish I could do, but require a lot of time and effort:
Pretty hair (specifically, having a nice hairstyle that’s not just a blow-out)
Hats (well, this is difficult for women because it relates to Hair, above. Hair needs to be styled with hats in mind. Further, I wish hats were more commonplace; they’re so awesome!)
Winter dresses...
I’m curious (though happy to wait a loong time to find out) what foods I would crave when pregnant, as I eat things such as pimento cheese and pickle grilled sandwiches as it is.

The WTF Blanket
Awesome. Just sad there wasn’t a cult reference.

I gotta tell you, Pandora, I thought after I’d clicked the “thumbs down” icon for the last three Radiohead songs you played that you would have gotten the hint. And yet, and yet, the songs still keep coming.
Also, since I’ve got you here, no thanks to Coldplay either, if it’s all the same.
The Decemberists are cool though.
If I remember correctly, I think you can...
